No a minor can never be a director. As Companies Act states that only individuals can be a director. Though if we treat minor as individual, he canont be director. Reasons are: 1) For becoming director, DIN is must and DIN is not allotted to a minor. 2) The powers and responsibilities that a director has, a minor cannot handle the same. 3) Under the Contract Act, minor cannot enter into a contract, thus the biggest question is how he can handle the day to day affairs of the company.
