using RCR to protect husband before wife files for DV

The marriage was 4 months back and wife is going to file for Nullification. Husband doesnt wan't to file RCR and get it passed in his favor, but want to protect his side. So, what about filing RCR now and dragging the case untill wife files for divorce. Once wife files for DV withdraw RCR petition saying he is contesting the DV petition and dont want RCR in parallel. If he gets RCR passed in his favor, can wife use it as a ground for divorce one year after passing RCR showing there is no re-union for 1yr? Its clear that he can use it as ground, but what about wife?
