I have a personal loan with ICICI bank which I took in 2016, It was a balance transfer for my PL with Axis bank and Bajaj finance.
Once the loan approved i received the DD for axis bank, but didn't receive for Bajaj, by the time the first emi was not cleared due Ecs mapping error, i was told to clear the emi, post which i will receive the DD for Bajaj. I cleared the emi but they handed over the DD a month later and the DD date was expired when I got it,
When i asked Icici about it, i was advised that DD can be honored till 90 days so please present it,
When i approached Bajaj they refused to accept the expired DD since it would be treated as a stale check and advised that to go to the issuer and have them reissue it,
I went back to Icici and notified of this situation and they said we will have it reissued by next month, since its a tedious process and will take a lot of time.
3 months have passed and no response from them and i been calling calling and calling them, and i was paying the emi for both Icici and Bajaj.
After 4 months i got a offer from Icici stating i am eligible for a top up of my loan and they will also resolve my DD issue. That was after Varda cyclone in chennai and I needed money to do repairs and damages so i accepted the offer.
After processing the loan got approved and my top up got credited into my account, but i didn't got the DD, i again kept calling them for the DD and i was advised that it is pending for a senior official approval and you will receive it in a month
After few weeks i received the DD and again the date is expired and I am back to square one.
Again i kept calling Icici and they gave me a lot of reasons, like
Year end schedule people are busy
Auditing in progress so people are busy
Person processed my is on maternity leave
Manager who handled my account relocated to other department
And so on...
By this time it was August 2017..
I lost my job at this point. I had to look after my dad. But i was paying the emi for both Icici and Bajaj
I did went several branches of Icici to get my issue resolved one at adyar where the loan processing department is there.
I met with a Relationship manager and he said, DD reissue is just a one day task, i don't why they have been so negligence in your case, you come back tomorrow and get your new DD.
I went home happily feeling aaah finally it resolved.
The next day I never imagined to become so horrible that the manager said your DD cannot be reissued.
The reason they said is when my loan got a top up, they closed previous loan account and opened a fresh loan account, and the DD was issued in old account number. The system will not allow the changes on a closed account.
I was shocked and really didn't know what to do, i asked what to do now.
I was advised to go back to the Bajaj and convince them to accept the DD and there is no other go.
I went back to Bajaj to accept the DD and told them all the issues, they refused to accept and said if the issuer cannot accept their own DD, How can we?
I went back to Icici and told them about it, then i was aaked to meet higher rank officials to get it resolved i did met senior manager, operations manager, branch heads and regional sales head.
All of them advised that the system will not allow you have to speak to Bajaj only.
It's Jan 2018 now and my dad passed away. He was sick and the fact that I lost my job and my money was at stake with the bank which is misbehaving and i was still paying emi for both Icici and Bajaj and borrowed money from local lenders to meet my expenses and his medical and hospital expenses. All of this depression and agony took his life.
But still i paid emi pledged my wife's jewels, march 2018,that was the time i stopped paying emi. Reason i have no more money to pay them.
From there on the collection agency torcher me, i am being torchered by all possible ways
Phone calls and people visiting my place talking very rude, threatening to arrest me,
Now they are torchering my in law family going to their place calling their mobile phones frequently
Frequently means 50 times minimum in a day
They hacked into my wife's FB account and took the data to trace her family and torchering them
I have no job, no money, no property, I live by a day and day
I seriously need help to deal with this situation and I want them to answer the suffering and pain and agony which Icici brought to me, which killed my dad, which is still torchering my family.
