Interim Maintenance is sanctioned by Court under Section 125 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
If wife, whether qualified or not, is unable to maintain herself, Maintenance enough just for maintaining herself is granted irrespective of the richness of the husband.
If a qualified wife refuses to do a job commensurate with her qualification, she, I think, forfeits her right to Maintenance.
