No custom recognized polygamy polyandry, every custom recognizes monogamy as a healthy trait, muslims were allowed to marry 4 wives from widows due to war or any calamity and to see no woman or orphans are t be left unlooked after that way 4 wives were allowed if the man is competent financially and [physically competent to maintain the wives and the orphans otherwise no muslim can go out of monogamous condition is something every country ought to live with is my considered opinion, so it is a bound and duty of judiciary to be basically look for meaningful consistency in marriage and living that is very essence of Art 21 of the constitution of india, so I think all other fundamental rights need to be read conjointly with Art 21 only.

Excellent article indeed. It is high time for the Parliament of India to enact a Uniform Civil Code applicable to all citizens of the country without caring for appeasing the minorities for vote bank politics. Polygamy by every citizen must be strictly banned and no citizen be given special or preferential treatment on the basis of his religion, especially in the matter of marriage.
